This has become a sad commentary on our society and the insecurities that lie within it. I believe that you should be open with your partner, share your life. However, If you or your partner feel the need to have access to everything that belongs to the other then I think you have problems within the relationship. You should be able to develop a trust with your partner as you grow together, not because he or she has proven to you that they aren't hiding things from you. I believe that in a relationship, you have things belong to you both, I also believe that to have a healthy relationship you have to have things that are also yours as an individual, whether that be friends, activities or even something as simple as your own email account. Come on people, if you can't trust your partner with a simple email account, do you really have anything?
